Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for high school level.
  • Experience working as a Special Education Resource Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Dedication to promoting self-advocacy, independence, and academic achievement for diverse learners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction based on students’ IEP goals and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support classroom inclusion.
  • Assess student progress, update IEPs, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
  • Provide small group or one-to-one intervention focused on academic and behavioral goals.
  • Offer classroom management strategies and positive behavioral supports.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements for documentation and reporting.
