Special Education Teacher in Monument, CO

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid special education teaching license or eligibility in the state
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive, positive, and flexible approach to teaching and learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to facilitate student success
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and maintain compliance with all IEP requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress and foster a strong home-school connection
• Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and interdisciplinary meetings
