Your Skills and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Prior experience in special education classrooms

Role Highlights:

• Elementary classroom: Teach and nurture a group of 6 students with primarily mild needs; one teaching assistant and a behavior technician provide daily support
• Middle school classroom: Guide a caseload of 11 students, including one with a feeding tube (you’ll coordinate with TAs and school nurse as required); collaborate with a lead teacher and 3 full-time teaching assistants, plus a 1:1 aide for individualized support
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through adapted curriculum and structured routines
• Participate in IEP development and ensure compliance with educational standards
• Communicate effectively with fellow educators and families to foster student achievement
• Maintain clear documentation of student progress and daily needs
