Special Education Teacher in Moriarty, NM

To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:

• Active New Mexico PED certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience, knowledge, or passion for working with 3rd–5th grade students
• Familiarity with inclusion settings and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Organizational acumen and adaptability to meet individualized student needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom community

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering individualized and group instruction within an inclusion setting for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers to develop and implement IEPs
• Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
• Supporting positive student behaviors and promoting social-emotional growth
• Engaging with families to ensure consistent communication and support

Compensation for this position is between $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
