Special Education Teacher in Moriarty, NM

You’ll work closely with students, families, and other educators to create supportive, differentiated instruction in an inclusive setting. Your days will focus on collaboration, advocacy, and driving positive outcomes for students with varying needs.

Ideal candidates bring:

• Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning requirements, especially at the middle school level
• Strong understanding of inclusive education best practices
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and educational teams
• Dedication to fostering an encouraging, accessible learning environment
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet individual student goals

Your core responsibilities include:

• Co-teaching and providing tailored instruction within an inclusion classroom
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students’ needs are met
• Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Building positive relationships with students and their support networks
• Encouraging engagement and self-advocacy among students
