Multiple opportunities are available, including self-contained and inclusion settings at the elementary and middle school levels. These positions are conveniently located near Morton, IL, and offer a collaborative school environment.

Openings include:

  • 8th Grade Self-Contained Classroom (Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM)
  • 6th Grade Inclusion Special Education Teacher (Supporting students in general education, with two or three direct special education classes; Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM)
  • 3rd–5th Grade Self-Contained Classroom

Positions start on August 19, 2026, and continue through June 4, 2027.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (Illinois preferred or able to obtain)
  • Experience in self-contained and/or inclusion classroom settings
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs
  • Passion for supporting diverse student needs and fostering an inclusive setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to student IEPs
  • Modify curriculum, provide behavioral support, and use positive reinforcement techniques
  • Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
  • Communicate consistently with families and school teams
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with general education faculties and paraprofessionals

Compensation for these roles ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment to student growth.
