This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers the opportunity to support early childhood classrooms at two locations within Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The role involves working with students who have diverse learning needs, creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with a dedicated team of educators to foster student growth and success.

Location: Delaware County IU 25, Broomall, PA
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Two early childhood classroom placements—one at the Early Childhood Education Center in Aston and one at the Folcroft Campus in Folcroft.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to the individual needs of students with special education requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to student performance, IEP goals, and compliance with educational standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and support student outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
  • Experience working with early childhood students in a special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of individualized education planning and differentiated instruction.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping young learners succeed.
