Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in community preschools across the Morton, PA area. This unique contract opportunity focuses on serving approximately 30 students with special education needs in various local preschool settings. You'll be an itinerant teacher, enjoying variety in your work environment while building connections and offering individualized instruction to help each child thrive.

Your week will be structured Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 35 hours. We ensure a smooth transition by providing dedicated guidance and onboarding training to help you succeed in your new role. Collaborate with education professionals and families while developing creative strategies tailored to each student's needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or special education (emergency permits not accepted)
  • Experience working with early childhood and/or special education students preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel between preschool sites within the local area
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

What you’ll do:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and educational progress
  • Travel between community preschools as part of your daily caseload
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities provided
