Working approximately 39 hours each week from 7:40 AM to 3:20 PM (Monday through Friday), you’ll benefit from a paid lunch break and a built-in, paid planning period, supporting your ability to deliver exceptional instruction. The assignment spans from August 12, 2026, through May 21, 2027.
This role could be in either a 3rd or 8th grade setting, where you’ll guide learners in core subjects including math, reading, science, and social studies. Responsibilities will include a blend of self-contained instruction and both push-in and pull-out models. Flexibility is essential, as final grade placement will be determined closer to the start of the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement (PK-22)
- Experience and comfort with behavior management; many students have behavior disorders
- Willingness to teach either 3rd or 8th grade
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing comprehensive IEPs, including setting goals and completing documentation independently
- Strong instructional skills in multiple academic subjects
Key Responsibilities:
