Key Qualifications:

• Valid, active Indiana teaching license (must provide screenshot for verification)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in self-contained or similar settings
• Passion for working with students with mild disabilities and fostering an inclusive classroom culture
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families
• Ability to implement and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed

Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom, providing differentiated instruction tailored to a range of learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, and support professionals to coordinate student services
• Maintain accurate records, assessments, and ongoing communication with parents and guardians
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives
