Special Education Teacher - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active 461 Tennessee special education teaching license required
• Experience working in a K-2 classroom setting or similar early elementary environment
• Proven ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management skills with a caring, patient, and adaptive approach
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
• Understanding of age-appropriate instructional strategies and positive behavior supports

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to K-2nd grade students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, execute, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
• Engage and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes inclusion, safety, and growth
