Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state of Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate a wide range of learning abilities
• Prior experience in a school-based special education setting is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality, differentiated instruction to students with varying needs and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
• Prepare and maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation required by law and school policy
• Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize individual growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and advocating for student needs
