Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience teaching in special education settings preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ unique needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to create inclusive classroom environments
• Attend and prepare for IEP meetings, maintaining comprehensive student documentation
• Manage classroom behavior and promote a supportive, positive learning climate
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills as needed
