Travel Special Education Teacher – Nantucket, MA

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time travel assignment in Nantucket, Massachusetts. This position is open to travel candidates and offers the opportunity to work in a unique island community while making a meaningful impact on students' academic success.

Position Details

• Work with students in grades 3–5 with moderate special needs.
• Provide pull-out specialized reading instruction for students receiving special education services.
• Deliver inclusion support in mathematics within the general education classroom.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while maintaining required documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Special Education (PreK–12 or K–12) license required.
• Experience working with students with moderate special needs preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
