This full-time Special Education Teacher position serves PreK-5th grade students in a K-12 school setting located in Naperville, IL. The assignment is a contract for the current school year (CSY), providing an excellent opportunity to positively impact young learners with specialized instructional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student IEP goals within a PreK-5 classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and adaptive instructional materials
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Special Education License with LBS1 endorsement required
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for special education students
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a positive learning environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Prior experience teaching PreK-5 students in a special education setting preferred
