This full-time Special Education teaching position supports students in a PreK-5th grade classroom. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support tailored to meet diverse learning needs within an inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and strategies
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education License
- LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) License required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
