Special Education Teacher in Naperville, IL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds a valid Illinois Special Education certification (LBS 1) and Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Fluent in both English and Spanish to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Previous experience in special education classrooms, particularly in bilingual settings, is highly valued
• Passionate about supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social development
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate various learning needs
• Foster an open, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and inclusion
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Track student progress and maintain timely, detailed records for compliance
• Provide guidance to classroom aides and participate in IEP meetings as needed
