Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience working with students in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, modification, and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a variety of student needs
- Organizational skills, teamwork, and a flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning requirements
- Create, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
- Monitor student performance, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Encourage student independence, critical thinking, and self-advocacy
