If you are a dedicated Special Education Teacher looking to make an impact, several contract positions are available for the upcoming school year in a supportive environment near Naperville, IL. These roles will provide essential inclusion, resource, and structured classroom support at the elementary and middle school levels, working closely with students who benefit from individualized instruction.

Open Roles & Details:

  • Inclusion/resource teaching at Hall Elementary (caseload: approx. 9-10 students)
  • Two inclusion/resource or structured classroom roles at Reskin Elementary (caseload: 6-9 or 5 students with additional paraprofessional support)
  • Co-taught/instructional ELA position at Marquardt Middle School (caseload: 8-9 students) You can state your preferred setting when applying.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active PEL with LBS1 endorsement required
  • Previous experience in special education strongly preferred
  • Comfortable providing support that may include toileting and managing behavioral needs
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
  • Collaborative working style for co-teaching and working alongside paraprofessionals

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction as specified in student IEPs
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff
  • Adapt curriculum and interventions to meet diverse learning needs
  • Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate regularly with families on student growth and challenges
