Exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic middle school environment. This full-time contract position runs from August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and is ideal for educators passionate about collaborating and supporting students’ academic growth. The role involves co-teaching English Language Arts (ELA) and math for 6th and 7th graders, working closely with two seasoned teachers to provide inclusive educational experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
  • Experience in middle school special education settings strongly preferred
  • Solid foundation in co-teaching models and differentiated instruction
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach ELA (up to three blocks) and math (up to two blocks) with partner teachers, creating an engaging and supportive classroom
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Align lesson plans and assessments with state standards and IEP goals
  • Foster an inclusive, positive environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and communication with parents and team members
  • Attend school meetings and professional development as required

This position starts at 7:45am and ends at 2:50pm daily, totaling 35 hours per week. The pay for this contract position ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, reflecting the essential skills and experience valued for this assignment.
