An educational opportunity is available for an 8th grade Special Education Teacher focused on case management and small group instruction in Nashua, NH. This contract position extends through the remainder of the school year and centers on comprehensive student support and collaboration within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, including writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring progress on IEP goals and objectives, and maintaining communication with parents and guardians.
  • Provide input and coordinate transition services to support students’ movement from middle to high school, including preparing transition documents and participating in transition meetings.
  • Deliver daily small-group, pullout math instruction to approximately 8 students, targeting skill reinforcement and growth.
  • Conduct a small-group academic support class, focusing on individualized student goals through reteaching, preteaching, and other specialized instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with regular education teachers by pushing into mainstream math and English Language Arts (ELA) classes to support students’ instruction and engagement.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher with experience managing caseloads and writing IEPs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with families, general education staff, and administration.
  • Skilled at differentiating instruction in both small groups and inclusive classroom settings.
  • Experience supporting transition planning for middle school students moving to high school.
  • Strong organizational and data tracking skills for progress monitoring.
