Step into a dynamic contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades 2 and 5 in the Nashua, NH area. This full-time role spans August 2026 through June 2027, providing meaningful support across two elementary school locations. You’ll impact the lives of approximately 15 students by delivering both teaching and case management services, collaborating with dedicated faculty, and cultivating an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Valid special education teaching certification, preferably in New Hampshire or eligible for reciprocal endorsement
  • Previous experience with elementary special education (grades 2 or 5 preferred)
  • Strong case management skills, including developing and implementing IEPs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Collaborative approach within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Adaptability and organization when splitting responsibilities across multiple sites
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive classroom culture

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach and manage a caseload of approximately 15 students between grades 2 and 5
  • Develop individualized education plans and implement targeted instructional strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as required
  • Liaise with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure comprehensive support
  • Maintain accurate records and timely communication according to school policies
  • Support transitions and inclusion within general education settings
