Exciting opportunities await passionate educators eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Two full-time contract positions are available supporting elementary students in special education settings. Each position offers a 37.5-hour work week for the upcoming school year.
Educators in these roles will work within structured, supportive environments—one Life Skills classroom (Grades K-5) and one self-contained/pull-out academic classroom (Grades K-5), each with a maximum of 10 students. Paraprofessionals are present in each classroom, allowing for collaborative teaching and individualized support to foster student growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in Life Skills or self-contained academic settings
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive education
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, staff, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, differentiated instruction in small group and individualized formats
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and document student growth
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals to maximize support for each student
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence
- Communicate proactively with families about student progress and classroom activities
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing learning opportunities
