Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification (preferred or required based on assignment)
- Background in special education classroom teaching
- Proven experience implementing IEP goals and delivering individualized instruction
- Strong classroom management abilities and behavioral support skills
- Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within a 35-minute commute of assigned locations
- Preferred: Experience in Autism Support, Emotional Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, Behavioral Health, or IU/specialized school environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as an itinerant substitute across various programs and locations, supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Provide high-quality instructional coverage for vacancies, leaves of absence, and long-term assignments
- Rapidly acclimate to changing environments and student groups, ensuring seamless support
- Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies (including ABA-informed approaches, BIPs, and sensory supports as appropriate)
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive atmosphere that facilitates student growth and progress
