Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning abilities in a high school resource classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers through a co-teaching model to create inclusive learning environments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to support student success
  • Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience teaching high school students with disabilities, preferably in a resource or co-teaching environment
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create engaging, student-centered lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
