Make an immediate impact by supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher during a maternity leave assignment. In this onsite, full-time contract opportunity, you’ll have the chance to work closely with a dedicated faculty to deliver personalized instruction and foster growth in a supportive environment. This six-week position runs from August 12th through September 25th, providing a dynamic start to the academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with middle school students preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of IEP development and adaptive instructional strategies
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Create and maintain a welcoming classroom environment that encourages student participation and self-confidence
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
  • Monitor and track student progress, documenting achievements and areas of growth
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student developments and milestones
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative academic setting
