Exciting opportunities await for passionate Special Education professionals to support students in 10th and 12th grades! Begin with orientation in late August and hit the ground running as you guide students through a year of growth and learning.
Daily hours are from 7:05 AM to 1:58 PM, offering a consistent schedule with afternoons free. In these roles, you’ll serve as a vital grade level liaison for students with IEPs, maintaining a manageable caseload of 15-20. You’ll play a central part in drafting, coordinating, and chairing annual reviews, collaborating with fellow educators, families, and specialists to ensure student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active MA Moderate Disabilities 5-12 licensure required.
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within high school grades.
- Skillful in IEP development, implementation, and review processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture.
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct instruction and accommodations to students with diverse learning needs.
- Serve as a grade level liaison, advocating for students’ educational progress.
- Draft, update, and chair annual IEP review meetings.
- Consult with general education teachers, families, and support staff.
- Encourage student independence, self-advocacy, and academic achievement.
