Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Demonstrated experience teaching secondary math (middle and high school)
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with various learning disabilities and ability to adapt instruction accordingly
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans to support students with special needs in math
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Assess student abilities and progress, and prepare reports to inform instructional strategies
• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input on student progress and accommodations
