Key Qualifications:

  • Current teaching certification in Special Education (required)
  • Experience supporting students in a general education/inclusion setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, differentiation, and data-driven instruction
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Ability to foster a respectful, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to a diverse group of 3rd through 5th grade students in an inclusive classroom
  • Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods for students’ individualized needs
  • Create, implement, and monitor IEPs and provide appropriate accommodations
  • Consult regularly with classroom staff and support personnel
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records per district and legal requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
