Special Education Teacher - New Braunfels, TX

A Special Education Teacher position is available at a school located near New Braunfels, TX, just outside of San Antonio. This contract role offers an opportunity to work in a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC), serving both intermediate and elementary caseloads. The preferred candidate for this role has experience specifically with SLC settings, providing specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction for students in a Structured Learning Classroom.
• Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to each student's needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working in Structured Learning Classrooms preferred.
• Ability to manage a diverse student caseload, including elementary and intermediate levels.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic and social development.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time contract position.
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (includes an unpaid lunch break).
