Special Education Teacher - New Braunfels, Texas

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a lead general education teacher, two dedicated classroom paraprofessionals, and work one-on-one with students as needed. The approach emphasizes flexible pull-out support for sensory needs, behavioral interventions, and subjects where extra guidance is beneficial—ensuring each student receives individualized attention while remaining engaged in the general education environment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience supporting students with Autism preferred
• Knowledge of elementary-level general education curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for a caseload of 8 students (grades 1, 2, 4)
• Develop and implement individualized instructional and behavioral plans
• Coordinate pull-out sessions for targeted academic or sensory support
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with team members and families
• Promote integration and inclusion for students within the general education setting
