Desired Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License; must meet all state certification requirements.
• Prior success supporting students with special needs in inclusive or resource settings.
• Experience with CT-SEDS is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families.
• Commitment to personalized instruction, IEP implementation, and student advocacy.
• Adaptability and a proactive approach in dynamic classroom environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with varied abilities in accordance with IEPs.
• Assess student progress, adapt lesson plans, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain compliance with special education laws.
• Cultivate a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to academic and social-emotional growth.
• Foster meaningful relationships with students, families, and fellow educators.
