Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Connecticut SPED Teacher License.
- All state-required certifications for Special Education instruction.
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support students, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Act as a substitute covering leave, maintaining continuity for assigned caseloads.
- Track student progress and manage necessary documentation for compliance.
- Collaborate closely with parents, staff, and administration to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies for varying learning needs and abilities.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to support student achievement.
