Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with K-12 students who have a range of disabilities
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and challenges
- Provide direct instruction, modifications, and support in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusive practices and consistency
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom climate that encourages participation and independence
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and adjust teaching strategies
