Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for ASD
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, therapists, and staff
• Compassionate attitude and a commitment to an inclusive educational philosophy

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized instruction in a self-contained classroom for students K-5 diagnosed with ASD
• Develop and maintain dynamic lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Collaborate with related service providers, administration, and families for consistent student support
• Implement behavioral interventions and support positive classroom behavior
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and IEP progress
• Cultivate a supportive, safe, and engaging learning environment
