Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to students in a K-5 self-contained ASD classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s needs and goals
  • Employ evidence-based practices and interventions for children with ASD
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Collect and analyze data to guide instructional decisions and progress monitoring
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members to promote student growth
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
