Special Education Teacher - New Britain, Connecticut

This full-time, contract assignment offers a consistent 35-hour work week, with positions starting as soon as possible and extending through June 11, 2027. Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated success providing instruction and support to students with diverse needs within a school setting
• Holds current Special Education (SPED) licensure and certification valid in CT
• Ready availability of professional references for a prompt hiring process
• Experience in multiple programmatic settings such as Pathways, KEY, and inclusion programs is highly desirable
• Comfort and proficiency conducting a virtual interview via Zoom

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with a range of abilities and needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere
• Use evidence-based instructional methods and adapt curriculum to meet each student’s unique goals
• Monitor student progress, maintain required documentation, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Participate actively in team meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
