This full-time opportunity places you at the heart of a collaborative special education team, serving 8th and 12th grade English learners. You’ll enjoy an engaging contract position guiding a caseload of 23 students, while fostering growth and achievement in both co-taught and small group classroom settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware Special Education (SPED) teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain prior to the school year
  • Experience teaching English at the middle or high school level, preferably in 8th and/or 12th grade
  • Background in managing diverse caseloads and delivering tailored instruction for students with varying abilities
  • Familiarity with the Infinite IEP platform is a strong plus
  • Strong communication and co-teaching skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other educators

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering engaging English instruction in two co-taught classes and two small group settings
  • Managing a caseload of 23 students, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and state/federal regulations
  • Using Infinite IEP or similar programs to document progress, update IEPs, and communicate with stakeholders
  • Planning and preparing high-quality lessons, with two designated daily prep periods for curriculum development
  • Working closely with support staff, families, and administration to promote student success and accessibility
