Bring your expertise and compassion as a Special Education Teacher to a part-time role supporting elementary students in a resource-based, pull-out setting. This mid-September 2026 start offers a rewarding contract through June 2027.

Enjoy a workweek tailored for work-life balance—Monday through Thursday, 9am to 2pm, for a total of 20 hours each week. Earn between $37 and $47 per hour while making a difference every day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid 165 or 165 CT Special Education PK-12 licensure (DSAP licenses not eligible)
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting K-5 students in special education
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualized instruction and accommodations
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff
  • Knowledge of compliance and documentation practices for IEPs and special education regulations
  • Passion for empowering students of varied backgrounds and abilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to small groups or individual K-5 students in a pull-out resource setting
  • Design and implement effective, engaging lessons aligned to students’ IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to help integrate modifications and accommodations
  • Track progress, collect data, and prepare required documentation for IEP meetings and compliance
  • Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary team members regarding student growth and needs
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all learners
