What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience supporting high school-aged students with varied learning needs
- Strong familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team setting
- Clear and open communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s individual goals
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs in partnership with faculty and families
- Monitor student progress, document growth, and adjust plans accordingly
- Collaborate frequently with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Create an encouraging classroom environment that promotes self-advocacy and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student successes and challenges
- Demonstrate adaptability and creativity in responding to diverse learning needs
