Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific requirements apply)
  • Previous experience in Life Skills or Autism Support classrooms preferred

  • Skillful in collaborating with paraprofessionals, 1:1 aides, and related service providers
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation and differentiated instruction

Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction for 9th-11th grade Life Skills or elementary/secondary Autism Support students
  • Adapt teaching strategies for cognitive, social, and behavioral needs
  • Collaboratively plan and participate in interventions, clubs, and student support activities
  • Maintain documentation and effective communication with staff and families
  • Create inclusive, engaging lessons that motivate and empower learners
