An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-12 during the current school year. This contract position is based in New London, MN, providing an engaging environment to support diverse learners with specialized educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to support student success and progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet academic and behavioral goals.
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license or certification for the state of Minnesota.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of best practices, federal and state regulations concerning special education.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers.
- Commitment to creating a positive and supportive educational experience for all students.
