We’re seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated school team on a full-time contract basis from August 2026 through June 2027. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse group of high school learners, helping them achieve their goals and experience academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification/license (or eligibility).
  • Prior experience teaching high school students, particularly in special education settings.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with support staff, therapists, and families.
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent communication abilities—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective instructional plans based on individual student IEPs.
  • Manage a high school caseload, providing differentiated instruction tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate regularly with team members, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Employ a variety of positive behavioral supports and teaching strategies.
  • Engage actively in professional development opportunities.

Role Details:

  • Contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026–June 2027).
  • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 32–37.5 hours per week.
  • High school caseload, serving a vibrant and engaged student community.
