Special Education Teacher - New Market, Maryland

We are seeking three experienced special education teachers for onsite, full-time contract roles starting August 17th through June 4th. Positions are based in a variety of settings, including a middle school Learning for Life program, a self-contained elementary classroom (site to be determined), and a behavioral self-contained caseload at Centerville Elementary.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for assigned age group (elementary and/or middle school)
• Proven experience working with self-contained or specialized education classrooms
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction and implementing behavior intervention strategies
• Ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, classroom staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students according to their IEPs
• Manage a caseload of up to 15 students for the middle school Learning for Life Program (7:30 am–3:30 pm)
• Instruct and assist a self-contained elementary classroom (caseload of up to 10 students, 9:00 am–3:30 pm)
• Provide targeted interventions and support for behavioral needs at Centerville Elementary
• Collect data, maintain documentation, and contribute to ongoing IEP meetings and progress reviews
• Collaborate proactively with specialists, support staff, and administration
