An excellent full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work onsite with a caseload of 15 students as part of the Learning for Life Program. This contract position begins mid-August and continues through early June, offering a rewarding chance to make a difference each day in a supportive middle school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably in a specialized program
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students in the Learning for Life Program
- Developing, implementing, and regularly assessing IEPs to ensure student growth
- Collaborating with general education staff and related service providers to create cohesive educational experiences
- Participating in team meetings, staff development, and professional learning communities
- Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and participation
- Fostering a safe, structured, and positive classroom climate that encourages student achievement
This onsite role follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30am to 3:30pm, throughout the school year.
