What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Louisiana certification in Special Education teaching
• Experience managing IEPs and a deep understanding of the IEP process
• Comfortable working across K-12 grade levels
• Previous work in self-contained, resource, inclusion, or co-teaching settings is highly valued
• Strong dedication to upholding the responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher, including documentation, planning, and collaborating with general education staff
• Exceptional work ethic, a strong desire to learn, and a consistently positive outlook
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Creating and executing individualized education plans tailored to student needs
• Supporting and instructing students in a variety of classroom models
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Tracking progress and providing regular, clear updates for students’ academic and behavioral goals
• Participating actively in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
• Fostering an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
