Special Education Teacher in New Oxford, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education for the state of Pennsylvania
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction in alignment with each student's IEP during the ESY program (July 8–July 30, Monday through Thursday, 8:15am–11:45am)
• Participate in staff in-service training on July 7
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families to address each student’s unique needs
• Foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes independence and engagement
• For those transitioning to the 26/27 school year, provide daily classroom instruction (7:45am–3:15pm) and ongoing support for students
