Special Education Teacher in New Richmond, WI

Make a lasting impact on young learners as a Special Education Teacher, supporting kindergarten through 2nd-grade students in a nurturing and collaborative school environment. As a vital member of the educational team, you’ll work full time with a diverse group of 10 students with moderate and mild needs, fostering their growth and success through individualized learning plans and creative classroom strategies. This contract position runs from August 27th through June 6th, giving you the opportunity to guide your students through the entire school year.

Qualifications:

• Valid Wisconsin Cross Categorical Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with students in kindergarten to 2nd grade
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Dedication to supporting students with mild to moderate needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's abilities and needs
• Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration
• Communicate regularly with families to celebrate achievements and address concerns
