This position offers a unique opportunity to help launch a brand-new Early Intervention program, working with children aged 2-3 years old in a welcoming, collaborative setting. The school’s program is designed to grow—and your schedule will too: start with just a few hours each week, with the option to transition to a full-time caseload as enrollment builds.

As part of a passionate team dedicated to early childhood development and special education, you’ll provide both individual and group instruction, supported by 1:1 teacher assistants in each classroom. This contract-based opportunity runs as a 12-month assignment, fostering meaningful connections and continuity with students and staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• NY State Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement (required)
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood and special education
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies for a diverse group of young learners
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to children aged 2-3 as part of an Early Intervention program
• Oversee classrooms with 10 students, each paired with a dedicated 1:1 teacher assistant
• Participate in program growth and development, adjusting availability as caseloads increase
• Collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to educational plans
