A high school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 9 through 12. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing a caseload of approximately 25 inclusion students, providing tailored instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and support teams.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to student growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with high school students, particularly within inclusion settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Newark, Delaware
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, onsite
