Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Delaware Special Education Teacher certification (required; must submit credential with application)
• Background in adapting curriculum and instruction for students with varied abilities
• Experience working directly with special education caseloads in K-12 settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnership with educators, parents, and specialists
• Flexibility and resourcefulness to support learners district-wide

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support aligned to IEP goals across multiple schools
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and behavioral interventions
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
