Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state special education teaching certification
• Previous experience as a special education teacher in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, accommodations, and behavioral intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Adaptability, creativity, and a student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse abilities
• Differentiate instruction based on student needs and learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Track student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students
• Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with state and district guidelines
