An elementary school in Newark, NJ, is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 3rd grade. This is a full school year contract position that provides the opportunity to work closely with young learners and deliver tailored educational experiences in an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt general curriculum to meet the unique learning requirements of K-3rd grade students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth and development.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Ensure compliance with all special education regulations and policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education.
