Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education certification
• Experience teaching high school students (grades 9-12)
• Strong background in Math or Science, with the ability to adapt curriculum to various learning styles
• Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Demonstrated skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction
• Collaborative approach when working with other educators, families, and support staff
• Flexibility and commitment to both Full School Year (FSY) and Next School Year (NSY) assignments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and accessible instruction in Math or Science to high school students with special needs
• Develop and modify lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and NJ curriculum standards
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that supports students’ academic and social-emotional development
• Work closely with other teachers, counselors, and specialists to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods
• Maintain accurate records on student performance and IEP implementation
